Chris Sale is not human

It was Jackie Robinson day, but that also coincided with it being Chris Sale day in Beantown.

This was a strange little game; and the Tampa Bay Rays fought hard after losing Jake Odorizzi to injury after just an inning. The longer the game went on, the stronger Sale seemed to get. He got his usual lousy run support, but struck out 12 hitters in seven innings on 111 pitches.

The Red Sox would scratch one across in the bottom of the 7th on a Sandy Leon groundout. After that it was somewhat elementary. Matt Barnes for an inning, then over to Craig Kimbrel who converted his fourth save.

In his third start in Boston, Chris Sale got his first win with the Red Sox. Those rabid fans have to be overjoyed, as he was beyond dominant.
