Tuesday’s Betting on Baseball

You’ve really got two choices if you’re thinking about laying some greenbacks on Major League action heading into your Independence Day. You can take our picks and run with them, or you can head over to SBR Forum for some free MLB picks.

Like we told you in our initial installment of Betting on Baseball, you really have to look at the lines yourself and see what games talk to you.

The first game of the night involves the Cincinnati Reds (-130) vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers (+120). Your play is the Dodgers +120 with confidence as the home underdog. I don’t like the way the Reds match-up with Dodgers lefty Chris Capuano. Crazier things have happened but I don’t like the Reds chances to win two in a row in Los Angeles.

The next play takes place in the San Diego Padres vs. Arizona DiamondBacks game where the O/U is 9. In this game, we recommend taking the UNDER 9. Trevor Bauer will be better in his second career start. Andrew Cashner will probably be worse. Even in that park the runs will come at a premium tonight.

In the third game of the night, you’ve got the Tim Lincecum vs. Bryce Harper showdown occurring for the first time in our nation’s capital. The Giants are (+115) while the Nationals are (-125). I’m going to tell you to do the crazy thing tomorrow and bet against the Nationals on our nation’s birthday. Tonight, I would like you to take the Washington Nationals -125 on the money line.

Good luck, and we’ll be back with more picks in the morning before you light your grill.
