The night the Marlins rolled with 6 infielders (for an out)

So I caught this on Zapruder Film last night, in the bottom of the 9th inning, after Mike Dunn booted a ball to load the bases with no one out; the Marlins called a meeting on the mound. Chris Coghlan was brought a new, smaller glove and took his position at the right side of second base and the Marlins rolled without a center fielder to Ramon Hernandez.

Count them up. There’s six infielders out there. First base, second base, center fielder playing on the infield dirt, shortstop, third baseman, and battery.

It worked. And Edwin Rodriguez is the smartest man alive.
