MLB teams up with Victoria’s Secret to reach out to female audience

This is Stephanie Seymour. She is your token 90’s babe, and I think she use to date one of the Guns n’ Roses crew. I think it was Axl Rose. That gives her instant street cred with us. She also was in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and got her start with Victoria’s Secret. And would you look at this. She’s also newsworthy for another reason.

Now we’re not big on babes on the blog here at Diamond Hoggers, but if she is some type of spokesperson, we’ll at least listen.

Which brings us to our next point, Victoria’s Secret is partnering with Major League Baseball to attract more female fans. Not a bad ploy, but the guys might enjoy it more depending on what ad route they take.

Major League Baseball Properties and Victoria’s Secret PINK are giving even more fans a chance to display their team pride on the cusp of the 2011 season. After receiving strong demand from the inaugural co-branded line in 2010, MLB and PINK are nearly doubling this exclusive assortment to now include 23 MLB teams. For the 2012 season, all 30 Clubs will be represented.

So no Stephanie Seymour; yet. And no Tyra Banks (she was great as a Vicky’s girl too). But it’s a clever ploy by the masterminds who are MLB’s marketing department.

Now, you turds; just let us embed videos to our websites and blogs like the NHL does. It will be okay. I promise.
