Back in first, and starting the October Beard

Last night and without Joey Votto, the Reds moved into sole possession of first place in the NL Central. And with that:

It’s August 3rd and the Reds are officially alone in first place. As long as this remains the case, I will not shave (nasty neck hair is excluded from this). Each day, I will examine the standings. If the Reds are either leading the Central or the wild card, I will not shave. If they fall behind, I will shave immediately and the process will start again.

Anyone with me?

Also, I would like the team to join me as well–so Dusty, Joey, Ramon, Scott–if you are listening…… it’s to get us in the playoffs!
