DH Video Select: 1986 World Series Dugout Beers

Some good stuff here. If you’ve read this site at any length you know of our love for Diamond Hoggers Hall of Fame Member Darryl Strawberry.

Now nothing too shocking especially if you’ve read Jeff Pearlman’s The Bad Guys Won about the 1986 New York Mets, but according to Strawberry; Keith Hernandez had already given up in game 6 of the 1986 World Series (yes that night Bill Buckner fucked himself) and was drinking beers down in the clubhouse watching the end of the game and waiting for the season to end.

That’s a sure fire way to know you shouldn’t blow a game, or a series. You got the opposition packing up their parkas for the winter and drinking Milwaukees Best. You have to lock that series down.
