Justin Upton is Going to Go Far in this Game

[Box Score]

Justin Upton flirted with history yesterday, as he tripled, doubled and singled in his first three at bats at Petco Park. If Upton could have knocked one out of the park, he would have became the youngest man to ever hit for the cycle in a ballgame.
Instead he ended up with a single in his 4th and 5th at bats to finish with a 5 for 5 day; the first five hit occurence in his young but steady career. We’d love to know how many 21 year olds have collected 5 hits in a ballgame.
The season is coming to a close and looking back it would have been nice to see what Upton could have done in a full season’s work. It’s downright scary to think about what he’ll do should he ever log 160+ games in a year. He’s got 40/40 potential and if he wants to get crazy, could we see a 50/50 or possibly a 35/50 or 50/35? The guy just does things on the field that make you realize when he actually matures and gets a few more hundred plate appearances under his belt, he could dominate the entire league.
Five hits. Even in a losing effort that is really something.
