We remember when Adam Dunn broke into the big leagues, he was projectedto be a perrenial All Star each and every year. It really bothered us that year after year, he was listed as a possible snub and whoever wrote about it said not to worry because he’d be there next year. After all the dust settled, Dunn only made one All Star Game in 2002. It really stuck in our crawl. We now compare the current situation with the newest Godfather of Diamond Hoggers, Jay Bruce. We know that eventually Bruce will be a fixture as an All Star on his own. He is the new and improved version of Dunn in Cincinnati. But for him to make it this year almost ahead of schedule, he’s going to need a little push.
We’ve been voting like crazy to get Jay Bruce to his first All Star game this year in St. Louis. We are going to need your help. If you are a Diamond Hoggers reader and you haven’t voted yet for the 2009 All Star Game, now is an excellent time to start do it here. If you’ve already voted for the 2009 All Star Game, do it again and make sure that Jay Bruce is checked on your ballot and vote often.
They say you can only vote up to 25 times. That’s hogwash. You can actually vote as many times as you want. Just enter a fake email address and leave all other variables the same and continue to click the vote button. SO VOTE FOR JAY BRUCE!
