Encarnacion Slam gets Reds to .500 in Milwaukee

[Box Score]

What the hell is wrong with Edison Volquez? He gave up 6 runs in 5 innings and got hit generally pretty hard. If he doesn’t get straightened out it’s going to be an ugly season no matter what we get out of Aaron Harang.
This game did have some bright spots. After the Reds fell behind 1-0, Jay Bruce hit a line shot into the right field stands off Yovani Gallardo for his first long one of the season. He also got hit in the hand and our heart sank for a minute. He was alright, and even got an RBI out of the deal. Directly after that, Edwin Encarnacion hit a rocket that is still flying somewhere in Winsconsin for a grand slam home run that would put the Reds ahead to stay (great effort by the bullpen).
So the Reds are .500 for at least one day this season. Now we must get rollin’ a bit. Tough lefty tonight in Manny Parra. It will be interesting to see what type of lineup Duhsty puts together to counteract Parra.
