The Biggest Regular Season Series of the Year Rolls Onward

Last night at Fenway Jonny Lesta and the rest of the Red Sox picked up the 3-0 victory. This coming on the heels of the Rays getting swept by the Toronto Blue Jays. Things at one point looked so bright for the Rays. Now they’ve got to deal with that annoying little fucker Dustin Pedroia and the same old played out resurgence from the Chowdaheads that happens every year around this time of year since 2004 (thank you, Yankees for waking the dead on that one).

Lester is now 3-0 against the Rays in his last three starts. Jon Papelbon blew away the last 4 hitters of the game, including Rocco Baldelli (who struck out 4 times last night).

Tonight should be the best matchup of the three game series. With both teams equal in the win column at 85 wins, this is a huge ballgame. Daisuke Matsuzaka goes for the Red Sox while Scott Kazmir goes for the Rays. Our uncle saw Kazmir throw in the morgue that is Tropicana Field last week and he said he was throwing pellets–unhittable. We like the Rays to win this game tonight.

Gotta hope the Rays pull it out for the good of baseball right? Because Tampa is a reason to watch the postseason, and who could stand Dustin Pedroia winning the MVP award? Talk about the award feeling slimy from that point forward. It’s like drilling a girl after you know the boss has done it. You’re just not gonna feel right about it.
