Another trade deadline has come and passed. You are nustled away safely in your Cincinnati Reds bed with your Cincinnati Reds uniform still on. You are happy, as are we. Two more months at the very least you’ll be a Red. Two more months to compile statistics in a Reds uniform and go after some milestones. Two more months to have a 50-home run season as a Red and two more months for us to day dream about you being a Red for your entire career.

We knew that the Reds weren’t going to go down as the team that traded Adam Dunn. Your fate in baseball holds something greater and different than what so many idiots wanted for you.

Congratulations Adam. Now keep hittin’ those jacks and sign that contract. It’s your team for the time being.
