Happy Jackie Robinson Day

As we did last year on Jackie Robinson Day, we would just like to take a moment to do a short tribute post to Mr. Jackie Robinson; just as we will continue to do on every April 15th for as long as this site is in existence.

Without Jackie Robinson; we wouldn’t have such talents such as Justin Upton, Ken Griffey, Gary Sheffield, Darryl Strawberry, Doc Gooden, Fred McGriff, Albert Belle, Eric Davis, Barry Larkin, or any of the other African-American ballplayers that we’ve enjoyed watching over the years.

It is truly amazing what an impact that Mr. Robinson had on the game we love, and he changed and impacted it for the better. Without being cliche; thank you Jackie Robinson, and when you are watching the games tonight of your respective teams just remember that without this man the league’s players would be of a lot lesser quality.
