And I think Clemens looks like a liar

In Roger Clemens’ interview on 60 minutes, I really felt that he was being dishonest. He looked like an individual who had not slept in a month if you looked closely at his face and eyes. Not completely unbelieveable if you for what he has been through either way, but if you watch Clemens’ facial expressions and you know how to read people like a poker player, you just get the feeling that something is indeed ‘off’.

“Why didn’t I keep doing it if it was so good for me? Why didn’t I break down? Why didn’t my tendons turn to dust? That’s all it’s good for. It’s a quick fix. I don’t believe in that. I don’t do it.”

Actually Roger, and I know you know this, steroids do not turn your tendons to dust. They make them stronger as well as all your muscles.

“My body never changed. If he’s putting that stuff up in my body, if what he’s saying which is totally false, if he’s doing that to me, I should have a third ear coming out of my forehead. I should be pulling tractors with my teeth.”

As I said to a friend and vice versa, ‘really Roger?’. Should you really have that? I don’t think any of the other users have any abnormalities like that on their body and I don’t think Jose Canseco is pulling a tractor with his teeth. You sound like a redneck liar. Is that what those corn-fed Texas boys do?

I’d say that Clemens body is not the same, wirey frame that he had when he was beginning his career in Boston. He now looks like a bowling ball with legs and a visibly bigger head.

The interview did little or nothing for me as a viewer to sway me. I had made up my mind a long time ago that Rogers Clemens was indeed dirty whether his name leaked in a report or not. You don’t post the type of longevity usually (Nolan Ryan aside) that Clemens did throughout his career without some type of help.
