ALCS Game 1: Boston 10, Cleveland 3

Last night’s game was a tough one to watch boys. I don’t want to talk to too much about it to be honest. When I walked into Gameworks here in Columbus, Hafner was rounding the bases in the top of the first with a homerun off Josh Beckett. Over the course of several bacardi and diets, the Indians shit this game away and C.C. Sabathia suddenly looks like the C.C. Sabathia that doesn’t show up of seasons ago.

The Red Sox look like they’ve been here before. The Indians looked scared on the grand stage and young. Grady Sizemore went 0 for 5 with 3 K’s and Franklin Gutierrez misplayed a ball in right field (in my opinion) that allowed a huge bases-loaded double from Mike Lowell to break the game open.

Tonight’s game is going to be one of the biggest in Indians franchise history. It’s absolutely huge, and as it’s been said elsewhere, the team that wins tonight’s game will win the series in my opinion. Fausto Carmona might be the nastiest pitcher in the postseason, we’ll see it tonight. Of course, no rest for the Indians’ offense, as Curt Schilling takes the hill, and he’s already built quite a legend of postseason performances. Full wrap after the game.
