Reds survive Teals in Miami

It’s not very often that this Reds squad wins 4 games in a row. It’s even more often odd when the Reds and Indians win on the same night, and when you combine the fact that they did it with the same scores of 7-5, you must think fucking auroraborealis was going on last night. If they continue to win ball games under Pete Mackanin as they have so far (10-4 since the firing of Grey Goose Narron), they’re going to wind up with 88 wins I read this morning. I don’t think there is a snowball’s chance in hell of that actually happening, but that said they just have to continue to win to climb out of this abyss they got themselves into. Get the deficit down to 7 games, yeah, 7 games back. A nice, tangible number. When you also factor in the that these Reds have suddenly become the ‘road warriors’ of MLB, winning these 4 in a row on the road, it makes it all the more unbelievable.

As far as the game goes, Dunn doubled in two runs, Freel hit a huge three run homer and Brandon Phillips added a couple hits. David Weathers notched save #19. Keep it up Reds, although I’m not sure that anyone outside of me really believes these guys are going to.
