Dunn's 2 fathers day blasts no help against Rangers

It was quite a weekend indeed for my boy Adam Dunn. If indeed he is entering his swan song as a Cincinnati Red, it has been a fine one. You’ll remember that I described Dunner the best I could. I’ve studied him and followed him his whole career. It’s simply peaks and valleys with this guy. He’s liable to hit nothing for two weeks and then he could go nuts and hit 7 or 8 homeruns in a week (he hit 4 this weekend). Right now, he’s enjoying one of those peaks that has vaulted him to 2nd in the NL homerun chase behind Prince Fielder.

Dunn hit career homeruns #216 and 217 yesterday as the Reds dropped the game to become the worst team in baseball. Bronson Arroyo pitched awful. I think it is safe to say that the national league has figured out Arroyo.

All in all it was a great day, as I got to watch the game with my father. That’s really what it’s all about, baseball, spending some time with your dad, and watching one of your favorite sluggers launch moonshots on a sunny afternoon.
