Reds 8, Nationals 7

So I have a nice little hitting streak going in the Beat the Streak game (only 5 games) and I decide, why not go with Brandon Phillips, afterall the guy is in a 23 game hitting streak. Why not ride it out with him, just once, to have him get me to 6 to make it my longest streak of the season.

Of course Phillips goes 0 for 4 and ends my streak. Of course he does.

The good news was that the Reds did avoid becoming the team with the worst record in the National league last night, with the help of Javier Valentin. It’s not too late for this team to get something going. I know, I’m probably clueless and hopeless.
