So much for that SI cover jinx

Get on the bandwagon now. The Cleveland Indians are getting ready to go on another run. Since Grady Sizemore has made the cover of Sports Illustrated, he’s been in a bit of a slump. I even got a text from my beloved Uncle Frank last night; who is a baseball wizard, saying that the SI cover and my pre-season MVP predicition of Grady had jinxed him.

We all know that’s complete hogwash, Hoggers. I’ve had Grady Sizemore the past two seasons and he’s put up spectacular numbers. Grady came out of his slump a bit last night going 4 for 5 with a double and a homerun in the Indians 15-7 win over the Minnesota Twins.

I’ll tell you what, this Indians team just enjoys home cookin’. They’re 12-3 at home and they were a Paul Byrd strike away from being 13-3. Just another reason I say this team is due for another nice run and ready to take the AL Central by storm this week.
